Mountain View Cottages is a residential care home for the elderly also known as Assisted Living. Assisted living is assistance for you or your loved one, with a special combination of personalized care and health-care management.

The Cottages is a cozy home-like setting with both private and semi-private rooms available.

Respectful help with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, housekeeping, dressing and personal hygiene, are designed to nurture independence wherever possible. Daily activities are responsive to the needs of each resident, mindful of their medical, social, or cognitive challenges. The companionship between residents allows a lifestyle where each day can be shaped to the residents satisfaction.

Borrego Community Health Foun dation, Borrego Medical Clinic and Desert Home Care all work together to create a dedicated team of professionals. Staff consists of an on-call Physician, regular visits from a Registered Nurse and Caregivers that are on site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Caregivers are Licensed Vocational Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Home Health Aides with extensive experience and training.

Communication with family, conservators and physicians is a key element of the care at Mountain View Cottages.

Administrator

Pearl German has an extensive 27 year career in the medical field. She joined BCHF in February 2008 as a CNA and was exposed to hospice patients. She then moved to the Borrego Assisted Living Facility as a clinical leader and medical technician. She took the initiative to take the Administrator's certification course to gain a better understanding of the program requirements.

In June 2011, she was promoted to the position of Administrator for the Assisted Living Residential Care Facility as well as Desert Home Care.
